Working towards a beautiful utopia, an imaginary and indefinitely remote place. 🌄 We have private camping sites with walking trails 👣 through rainforest areas, towering Tas oaks, majestic blackwoods, tall manferns and encircled by Tasmanian mountain pepperberry trees. Surrounding forestry trails for mountain bike riding, 4WD trails and hiking. 1 hour 30 minutes to Cradle Mountain. 1 hour 15 minutes to Tullah ( and West Coast) 50 minutes to Waratah. 1/2 hour to Hellyer Gorge. 1 hour to Stanley. 20 minutes to beaches and coast. For those that are able, a flowing creek over the back, with rope access, the quiet of a magical world. ( CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO FALLEN TREES) Wildlife abounds. Looking over the farm you'll see llamas🦙, pigs, horses and ponies🐎, goats🐐, peacocks🦚 and chickens🐓, just to name a few😊 Llama walking, on the trails, at an additional cost, can be booked🦙.

This is glamping with a side of real camping in the Tasmanian bush. Goats and sheep will stroll around and you have over 20 acres all to yourself to explore. We're located up a gravel road on the northwest coast, you won't find any other tourists here. Soak in the woodfired tub, under the blackwood tree. Cosy up to the wood fire, roasting marshmallows in your star Gazer yurt. A comfy queen bed and a backyard of adventure, it's a Tasmanian version of luxury camping. Our Yurt location is known as The Top Paddock - A Little Inside Information: Well in my opinion (and a few others) I am Living The Dream! I started living here permanently seven years ago, most of the property's out dwellings and the Cabin is built from recycled, reclaimed materials or been handed down. I am fully off the grid and in the process of trying to become self-sufficient. The water is pumped from a springfed dam and mostly gravity-ed. It's a little like McDonald's Farm, an array of birds and animals.

The Bischoff Hotel is a heritage listed Edwardian-Federation style building, constructed in 1909. Said to be the only hotel in the country with waterfall views, you must experience the magnificence of the waterfall in person. Waratah is a quaint little village originally established in 1871 as a tin mining town when it was discovered that tin was abundant in Mt Bischoff. You must add Waratah to your itinerary and visit the Bischoff Hotel where you can access beautifully appointed accommodation, restaurant, bar and bottle shop. The Bischoff Hotel is open 7 days a week from 10am daily.
